[Mario Remix: Boss Edition]

I can't be too hard on this game, because I used to play it a lot and it introduced me to a lot of older games. Nevertheless, I can't help but feel as though this game has aged considerably.

The controls are often unresponsive, and the bosses' hitboxes can be all over the place. Some of the bosses are also a pain to deal with, (fuck you, Bright Man).

But I think it's still a bit of a charming game underneath. I do hope that someone gets inspired by this game to make one very much like it.

This is pure insanity, and I love it.

[Fruity Tower]

A fun game with some nice pixel art and chiptune music. I'll be honest, I went thinking this was a Pizza Tower parody, so I was surprised to see a ton of gunplay in this.

Quite nice. The biggest gripe I have with it is that it's hard to tell what sprite you're grabbing.

[Crazy Hangover 2]

A fun point and click game and timecapsel of late 2000's/early 2010's culture. The only real gripe I have with it is that it takes a while to get anywhere.

Not quite the game I was expecting. When I first saw the thumbnail for this game, I was a bit worried. I thought "Wojak art of a Mighty No. 9 character? That's just a recipe for cringe." But upon actually playing it, it is at least somewhat enjoyable (ironically and unironically). It's a basic play-for-points archaic game, but with some decent artwork. What both brings it down AND raises it up is the sheer ridiculousness of this game; you essentially have to pick up chicks (and Pepsiman, for some reason) and get laid. It's not pornographic; the only indicator of your success is a sound clip of the girl yelling (or for Pepsiman, his theme song). Overall, 'tis but an addicting game only notable for its absurd premise. I do hope the creator goes back and expands this concept into a much more substantial game, but for now it is but adequate.
